Our Miss June 1974 has been missing in action for several days and tracking down a free-spirit like Sandy Johnson isn’t the easiest job. However, it is the most rewarding when you finally find the busty brunette who’s been sunning herself for days on the beaches of California. Originally from San Antonio, Sandy fell in love with the Golden State when she moved six years earlier—its glorious weather and beaches were too inviting for her to pass up. “I don't feel like I must have a regular nine-to-five job,” admits the all-natural Texan. “People around here figure if I'm lying on the sand at 11 a.m., that's my business, and half my neighbors are liable to be there, too, either getting some sun or organizing a softball game.” Keeping a body like that of our Playmate of the Month’s in tip-top shape isn’t easy, but the secret to Sandy’s fine form is having fun while exercising. “Beauty care has a lot to do with what you eat,” says the softball player and dancer. “I've already taken a lot of dancing lessons, so I know I can dance. If I can sing, too, then I want to try to break into musicals. My fantasy is to star on the stage. That turns me on much more than TV or movies. I might also study acting so I can combine all three— singing, dancing, and acting.” With her Playmate centerfold on newsstands, Sandy’s voicemail filled up quickly with Hollywood executives demanding our Miss June 1974 be in their pictures. With small roles in drive-in movies like Surfer Girls and H.O.T.S., the busty brunette was tickled at the realization she had finally become an actress, but no film gave her the acting attention she deserved like John Carpenter’s Halloween where she played Michael Myers’s sister and victim. With her brief acting career behind her, our Miss June 1974 sees no reason for her to leave the hot beaches of California for Texas—she’s not going anywhere. “Even if I didn’t make it in show business, I wouldn’t move from here for anything,” she firmly states. “My life is busy, but there’s no hassle and I don’t feel any pressure to do things just for the sake of pleasing someone.” No pressure necessary, Sandy Johnson, Playboy fans are always pleased to have you around.
