Sean Michaels

BIOGRAPHY: Sean Michaels was born in Brooklyn, New York on 20 February 1958. Sean is known as the "Godfather of Porn" having been in the industry since 1986, a whopping 29 years! Sean is an actor and director with an incredible body of work. Sean was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 1995 and he has received numerous AVN awards since then. Sean has starred in a whopping 1,991 adult films and has directed 229 films to date. His longevity in the industry means he has shot with almost everybody in the business from porn legends like Silvia Saint and Lisa Ann, to future stars like Adriana Chechik and Tiffany Watson. Sean grew up in Brooklyn and spent his childhood in the area. He then moved to California in 1980 to pursue a career as a trauma nurse. He did this for 6 years before being asked by an agent in 1986 if he was interested in doing a nude print shoot with a beautiful girl. Sean was curious and he loves beautiful women, so he said yes and his career took off from there. Sean was soon put in touch with legendary porn recruiter Jim South at World Modelling and he was soon being cast in a variety of scenes. He then traveled to Hamburg to shoot classy videos and stills in a "porn factory" with gorgeous Eastern European women which he greatly enjoyed. He then traveled around Europe touring England, Italy, France, Holland, Belgium, and Germany, before returning to America to focus on his adult performing career full-time. Sean has been in the industry so long that he has funny stories to tell about practically everyone. One funny incident he recalls was when Sean went to Italy with porn legend Ron Jeremy to do a classy big budget shoot with gorgeous Hungarian women, and Ron turned up to the shoot in a ketchup stained K-mart tracksuit with a K-mart shopping bag as a suitcase — which was definitely not the look the director was after! Sean got into directing in 1991 with Christian Mann, with some of his first films being "My Baby's Got Back" and "In Loving Color". Sean likes to direct with a focus on romantic lighting and a small crew, to bring out the passion and natural chemistry between the talent. Sean says that while directing is great, he sometimes has to fight the urge not to jump into a scene and start performing himself. Sean keeps his edge by genuinely enjoying what he does and due to the fact that he loves to fuck beautiful women. He considers himself blessed and never gets sick of fucking on camera or shooting porn. Sean also sees himself as an artist and tries to make sure that the work he does every day is worthy of being called art. Away from the camera, Sean stays busy working on projects he’s passionate about such as working on his biography and being an unofficial spokesman for the adult entertainment industry.
