Velvet excelled in foriegn languages, and in 1996 she won a scholarship to study in Germany for her junior year. After spending the year abroad, Velvet returned for her senior year at McKinney High, then promptly moved back to Germany to attend college. It was while living in Germany that she first started dabbling in porn. Her German boyfriend suggested it, and after shooting a scene, Velvet really got into it. After appearing in a couple of videos, she started stripping in Germany and Austria at the age of 19. Over the next couple of years, she traveled all over the globe as an exotic dancer, from Holland to Norway to Iceland to Japan to Guam. After four years living as an ex-pat, Velvet decided to move back to the States. She settled in Southern California in April of 2002, with the goal of becoming an American porn star. She shot her first U.S. scene one week after turning 22 years old, and hasn't looked back since.
